Here are a few recipes to try out at home using our beautiful EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) ...Of course we use our EVOO for all our cooking, dipping, dressing and drizzling needs!... Enjoy!
1 Cup Slivered Almonds
½ Cup Pepitas
½ Cup Sesame seeds
½ Cup Sunflower seeds
¼ Cup Coriander seeds
¼ Cup Cumin seeds
1 tsp Salt
1 tbspn Mild Paprika
1 ½ tsp Turmeric
Pinch of Chilli Flakes
Cubes of Fresh Bread and a dish filled with Cherax EVOO.
Roast first six ingredients separately in a dry frying pan until slightly browned and fragrant. Let cool then grind all ingredients together in a food processor until grainy. Store in airtight jar.
Dip cubes of fresh bread into our delicious Cherax EVOO then dip into the dukkah. Eat and enjoy!
Makes about 2 Cups
Cherax Perfect Spreadable Butter
250g packet of your favourite Butter (we use Lurpak)
⅔ Cup of Cherax EVOO
Have the butter at room temperature and then whisk until nice and smooth. Slowly pour and whisk the EVOO into the softened butter until well combined.
You should end up with a beautifully pale, creamy consistency. Place in an airtight container and put in fridge.
So simple and so much better for you than margarine!
Cherax Sweet Potato
Our favourite on a cold Winters night here in the hills!
Peel, cut and boil a sweet potato. Mash with a little Cherax EVOO.
Place sweet potato onto your plate and make a well in the centre. Pour a good amount of Cherax EVOO into the centre, sit back , eat and enjoy!
